300 Years of Utrecht History, Now Easier to Explore.
Picture this: It's the 18th century. An ambitious cartographer is meticulously drawing the castles, churches, and landscapes of Utrecht province. Fast forward to today. That same atlas, the Munnicks van Cleeff Atlas, sits in the Utrecht Centraal Museum, filled with hundreds of works that tell the story of an entire province. But here's the thing: how many people actually get to experience it?
That's where our work begins: We partnered with Centraal Museum Utrecht to transform this historical treasure into an application. Now, anyone can wander through Utrecht's history, zooming into architectural details, searching for that one castle they've always been curious about.
This is why we do what we do at Mama.Media: Cultural heritage isn't meant to gather dust. It's meant to inspire, educate, and connect us to the stories that shaped our world. By digitising archives and creating apps for museums, galleries, and cultural organisations, we're making sure that these treasures get seen, explored, and loved.
Every artifact has a story. Our job is to help you tell it. Drop us a message at mail@mama.media, we'd love to hear about your project.
