Nabeelden

Nabeelden is an installation by Rein Jelle Terpstra presenting a series of stories of untaken photographs as told by the photographers. A touchscreen application containing a word cloud that functions as an interface to the content. The story titles float around in the cloud and can be playfully moved around by the user, or sorted in a list. Each story plays back as audio only while the screen slowly fades to black.

For the 2011 edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, besides our usual video service, we produced an online video preview platform. High quality video, and fast world wide delivery were optimized using the latest cloud-front hosting technology.

Painted blue

I recently found out that the artist responsible for the painting blue of this building lives just around the corner from us. Florentijn Hofman, does some really cool and, well, as you can see, really BIG stuff. I always liked the picture and since I discovered the rest of Florentijn's work I can say it gives rise to many interesting photo opportunities.

For the recent opening of the Eating the Universe exhibition in the Kunsthalle in Düsseldorf we were lucky enough to be involved in the team supporting Zeger Reyers and his Rotating Kitchen installation. During the opening we made extensive photo and video registration of this quite unusual and thought provoking work.

Testing the Panasonic lx3 digital compact camera

We love new gadgets. I have found that one can achive very good results with this little camera. It has a very good wide angle Leica lens and with the raw format image it is possible to create professional quality pictures. I like it for it's size, ease of use and above all the picture quality. It's amazing what these tiny little camera's can do these days.

At a show by Olafur Eliasson

I often visit museums, usually running through exhibitions quite quickly. Many people I see at these kinds of shows are talking and talking and discussing and arguing different viewpoints and interpretations, and spending a long time analysing the work, usually they obviously have a sturdy education to be able to responsibly justify all kinds of social and theoretical levels embedded in the pieces.

We still use film in our cameras sometimes

photo © rob duyser
Although we are extremely digitally minded we just can't seem to give up film. For the best in image magic, and on most of the jobs at duyser.net we use and supply photographic material, either for our own promotional purposes and archives, or for use by our clients. Our passion for the photograph sometimes strays to more personal work, as was the case on this occasion.

Urban Screens Photographs

photo © rob duyser
Commissioned work for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, a series of photographs shot in medium format film and digitally enhanced to create the illusion of the Urban Srceen Project for IFFR 2009. Duyser.net provided the photography, post production and the proofed files for large, high quality prints which were used in the presentations to promote the project preceding the event. Participating film makers were Guy Maddin, Nanouk Leopold and Daan Emmen.
